The 18th Joint Webinar on Fisheries Bycatch focused on dynamic modelling as a key tool for marine conservation and fisheries management
The session was presented by SEA4FUTURE coordinator Dr. César Bordehore (Universitat d’Alacant) and brought together several EU-funded projects working on bycatch reduction, including REDUCE, Marine Beacon Project, CIBBRiNA, ECO-CATCH, MarineGuardian, LIFE PROMETHEUS, and SEA4FUTURE.
The webinar highlighted how modelling approaches can support better understanding of species distribution, fisheries interactions, and management strategies to reduce bycatch impacts.
