International Forum on Bycatch of Marine Megafauna (IFBMM) – Save the Date
The International Forum on Bycatch of Marine Megafauna (IFBMM) will take place from 12 to 15 October 2027 at the Cidade da Cultura de Galicia in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

The forum will bring together stakeholders from science, fisheries, conservation, and policy to address the global challenge of bycatch affecting marine megafauna, including sharks, rays, sea turtles, seabirds, and marine mammals.

Bycatch remains a major threat to marine biodiversity and the sustainability of fisheries worldwide. The forum will focus on practical solutions, knowledge exchange, and collaborative approaches to reduce these impacts across sectors and regions.

The IFBMM is jointly organised by CIBBRiNA, MarineGuardian, Marine Beacon Project, SEA4FUTURE, LIFE PROMETHEUS, and REDUCE.
