The 23rd Joint Webinar on Fisheries Bycatch brings together EU-funded projects including REDUCE, Marine Beacon Project, CIBBRiNA, ECO-CATCH, MarineGuardian, LIFE PROMETHEUS, and SEA4FUTURE to exchange knowledge on bycatch reduction strategies.

These webinars provide a platform for sharing advances in monitoring, modelling, gear innovation, and fisheries management approaches.

Topic: Spatiotemporal patterns of Mobulidae in the Tropical Atlantic: a unified modelling approach
Speaker: Lola Riesgo (Marine Beacon Project)

The session will present 15 years of observer data to map mobulid distribution in the tropical Atlantic, identify environmental drivers of bycatch risk, and compare modelling approaches relevant for fisheries management.

The webinars take place twice monthly (second and fourth Friday, 12:00–13:00 CET), with a permanent access link available for participants.
